Field Inspector's Guide

Finding Work

YOU WILL NOT BE WALKING THE STREETS OR
ATTENDING INTERVIEWS TO FIND A JOB
IN FIELD INSPECTING!

You are going to find the jobs on the internet!
There are two ways to do this

APPLY TO THE FIELD INSPECTION COMPANIES' WEBSITES

Do a search for "field inspection jobs" or "Field Inspector jobs".  I have put a search engine box on this site for you.  Go thru the list and choose the type of companies that you might be interested in working for.  Some of them will have a section to apply as a field inspector.  If they don't you will want to email them with your resume.  Be sure to send them a link to your web page also.

LIST YOURSELF ON A WEB PAGE SO COMPANIES WILL FIND YOU

I have found a great site that I pay a small amount to be listed on.  They list field inspectors by state and then by city.  I am able to put up a small ad for $25 a year!  $35 if you want it highlighted.

The name of the organization that does this is "The Society of Field Inspectors".  SOFI for short.  Just type in SOFI into the search box and you can find them.  They also offer a directory of companies that are hiring.  I think that if you are going to be a field inspector, you must get involved with Richard Law at "The Society of Field Inspectors"
